Lakeshore College to Host 4th Annual Ag Discovery Day February 21
CLEVELAND, WI – February 13, 2026 – Lakeshore College will host its 4th Annual Ag Discovery Day on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Cleveland Campus Agricultural Building, 1290 North Avenue, offering a free, hands-on agriculture experience for youth and families across Sheboygan County and beyond.
Recommended for ages 9 and older, Ag Discovery Day invites participants to explore the world of agriculture through interactive learning stations led by veterinarians, agricultural educators, and local farmers. The event focuses on practical livestock care skills and real-world agricultural science in an engaging, team-based environment.
Participants will learn essential animal care techniques such as newborn care, physical examinations, colostrum management, and identifying common illnesses. Throughout the day, attendees will rotate through multiple demonstration stations, gaining insight into animal health, food safety, and agricultural best practices. The event concludes with a friendly team competition featuring prizes.
Ag Discovery Day also offers youth the opportunity to complete Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA), a nationally recognized livestock quality assurance program. YQCA promotes responsible animal well-being, food safety awareness, and ethical decision-making for youth exhibitors.
YQCA registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with training running until 10 a.m. General workshop registration for Ag Discovery Day begins at 10 a.m., followed by activities starting at 10:15 a.m.
