Lakeshore College Hosts Free Manufacturing Rocks Event Oct. 16
CLEVELAND, WI — Lakeshore College will host Manufacturing Rocks, a free career exploration event for high school students, on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is in the Nierode Building on the college’s Cleveland campus, 1290 North Avenue.
Students can try hands-on activities, see equipment used in modern manufacturing and speak with Lakeshore faculty about career paths. The event covers automation, machining, welding, engineering, maintenance and agriculture.
Registration and what to bring
Space is limited to 100 participants, and registration closes Friday, October 9. Attendance is free, but every student must register online and complete an event release form. Participants younger than 18 need a parent or guardian to sign the form and return it to Lakeshore.
Students must wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Lunch is provided, and each participant will receive a T-shirt.
Explore technical career paths
Students interested in what comes after high school can learn about Lakeshore programs in CNC automation, electromechanical technology, machining, mechanical design, welding, manufacturing management and quality assurance. Agriculture-related paths include agribusiness, dairy business and dairy herd management.
