Scholar’s Ridge Groundbreaking Scheduled for Friday, October 16, in Plymouth
A groundbreaking ceremony for Scholar’s Ridge is scheduled for 11 a.m. to noon Friday, October 16, at the planned subdivision on South Pleasant View Drive in Plymouth. The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) announced the event on October 15.
WHEDA says the planned 102-home single-family subdivision is being developed by the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC). The agency says it awarded the project a $3.4 million Infrastructure Access Loan.
Friday’s ceremony schedule
WHEDA’s schedule lists welcome remarks at 11 a.m., followed by remarks from 11:05 to 11:30 a.m. The groundbreaking and photos are scheduled for 11:30 a.m., with lunch and refreshments at 11:45 a.m. The event is scheduled to conclude at noon.
WHEDA lists the location as Scholar’s Ridge, South Pleasant View Drive, Plymouth, Wisconsin 53073. A City of Plymouth Plan Commission record identifies Scholar’s Ridge as a 102-lot residential subdivision along Pleasant View Road, placing the project in the city rather than the Town of Plymouth.
What’s known about the planned homes
WHEDA describes the project as intended to provide entry-level and workforce housing and affordable homeownership opportunities. Those are the agency’s stated goals. Its announcement does not provide individual home prices, sales or application details, or a construction or completion timeline.
The groundbreaking is scheduled, but the announcement does not confirm that construction has started. Residents planning to attend can use the WHEDA announcement for the event schedule and location.
