Elkhart Lake Sewer and Road Work Near Maple Grove, Sugarbush Enters Construction Phase
Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin — September 16, 2026
Sewer and road work is moving from sewer-main lining into the next construction phase near Maple Grove and Sugarbush in the Village of Elkhart Lake.
Project timing
According to a September 8 update from the Village of Elkhart Lake, Visu-Sewer began lining sewer mains in the Maple Grove and Sugarbush area during the week of September 8. Vinton Construction mobilized on September 14, and road construction is expected to begin in late September or early in the week of September 21.
The village has not described the road work as complete. Residents and drivers should expect construction activity as the project advances.
What homeowners should know
Homeowners in the project area should watch for door flyers with timing information about temporary sewer-lateral blockages.
During an active blockage window, residents should avoid laundry, dishwashing and other activities that create high water or sewer use. The timing may vary by location, so affected homeowners should follow the instructions provided for their property.
Traffic and garbage collection
One traffic lane is expected to remain open during working hours. Drivers should use care near the work area and allow extra time when traveling through the project zone.
Garbage collection is expected to be coordinated around the construction. The village also plans onsite inspection as the work progresses.
Expected completion
The Village of Elkhart Lake expects substantial completion before Thanksgiving, subject to the construction schedule. Residents should continue watching for project-specific notices, especially before sewer-lateral work affects their homes.
