Sheboygan Volunteers Invited to Mead Library Mulch Project August 13
Sheboygan, WI — August 10, 2026
Mead Public Library is inviting community members to help spread mulch in the Library Plaza during a volunteer project Thursday, August 13, in Sheboygan.
The Mulch Move Party! is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. at Mead Public Library, 710 N. 8th Street. The work is part of the library’s summer Community Landscape Project.
Where to meet and what to bring
Volunteers should meet outside the east, or 8th Street, side of the library near the pillars. Gardening gloves are recommended. Participants may also bring a shovel or pitchfork if one is available.
The project will be led by Amanda Strojinc, Mead’s STEMist-in-Residence. Volunteers will help disperse mulch in the Library Plaza.
Storm contingency
Light rain will not necessarily cancel the project. If storms affect the work, Mead Public Library says it may move to Friday, August 14, from noon to 4 p.m. The backup date is not automatic, so volunteers should check the library’s event page for any weather-related update before attending.
Mead Public Library can answer accessibility questions at 920-459-3400.
