Maywood Native Plant Fundraiser Pickup Set for September 10 in Sheboygan
Sheboygan, WI — September 10, 2026
Maywood Environmental Park will host its fall native plant fundraiser pickup from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, September 10, giving local residents a way to support the park while adding native plants to their own landscapes.
The pickup will take place at 3615 Mueller Road in Sheboygan. The fundraiser supports Maywood and wildlife habitat, and the plants were supplied through Johnson’s Nursery.
Pre-order pickup only
This is a pickup event for orders placed in advance. Orders were due September 4, and Maywood’s event listing says additional plants will not be available for purchase at the pickup.
The fundraiser offered several categories of native plants, including flowers, grasses, ferns, vines, shrubs and trees. Native plants can provide habitat and food for local wildlife while helping residents add vegetation to home yards and gardens.
A way to support Maywood without a garden
Residents who do not have outdoor space can still participate by sponsoring a plant for Maywood. Sponsored plants will be planted at the environmental park, helping support its habitats and public environmental-education mission.
The City of Sheboygan identifies Ellwood H. May Environmental Park as a city facility with trails, natural habitats and opportunities for environmental education and recreation. The fundraiser offers a practical way for residents to contribute to that work while supporting a local park.
