Amazon Logistics Facility Breaks Ground at Sheboygan’s SouthPointe Enterprise Campus
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — September 2, 2026
Construction has begun on Amazon’s planned logistics facility at Sheboygan’s SouthPointe Enterprise Campus, marking a new step in the city’s business and industrial development pipeline.
WHBL reported in a September 2, 2026, update that crews have started moving dirt at the site. The project is planned near the intersection of Stahl Road and Taylor Drive in the City of Sheboygan.
A planned 200,000-square-foot delivery station
The facility is expected to serve as an Amazon last-mile delivery station, handling the final stage of deliveries to customers. The City of Sheboygan has described the planned building as approximately 200,000 square feet.
City project information estimates the facility could create between 150 and 200 direct jobs. The project is also expected to support approximately 450 additional jobs through related economic activity. Those figures are projections, not guaranteed hiring totals.
Operations are projected for summer 2027
The city’s project announcement points to summer 2027 as the expected start of operations. The construction milestone means the site has moved beyond the planning and land-sale stages, although work remains before the facility is ready to open.

The Common Council approved the related land sale on January 19, 2026. The groundbreaking is a material new development because physical work is now underway on a project expected to expand activity and employment potential at the SouthPointe campus.
