Storms Force Early End to P1 Boat Race Spectator Activities in Sheboygan
This summer’s event will bring together some of the world’s most elite marine motorsports athletes competing across multiple classes—including the top-tier Class 1 division, where speeds exceed 160 mph.
Defending Champion Billy Moore Returns

Why It Matters
This isn’t just a race—it’s a regional economic engine and a cultural event. Last year’s powerboat weekend drew over 40,000 spectators and generated nearly $4.7 million in local economic impact. Businesses, hotels, and vendors all benefit from the influx of visitors.
Additionally, the event supports nonprofit programs in marine conservation, youth outreach, and water safety, thanks to the work of the P1 Marine Foundation.
