Wisconsin Author Discusses Sobriety Journey in Debut Memoir, “Comma Day”
SHEBOYGAN, Wisc. — Local author known as Amanda K has released her debut work, Comma Day: One Woman’s 1,000 Day Pilgrimage of Healing, Hope, & Embracing Sobriety.

A memoir, Comma Day is a raw and honest introspection following the first 1,000 days of Amanda K’s sobriety journey. She threads journal entries, Instagram posts and personal reflections into a rich quilt of her experience, intended to provide unique insight into what the journey is truly like.
The book offers perspective to those supporting someone in recovery, while also offering validation and community to those on the journey. Her story speaks to finding hope within a world of constant change.
With the release of Comma Day, Amanda achieves a lifelong dream of becoming a published author.
“If you told 10-year-old me that in 30 years, I’d just then be self-publishing my first book which was about my sobriety journey, I think my tiny heart would have broken. I’m glad no one told me this. … Adult me is watching a childhood dream come true, and that’s a pretty big deal no matter how long it took,” said Amanda.
