The National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan office issued a Small Craft Advisory at 3:06 a.m. CDT Sunday, August 30, for Lake Michigan nearshore waters from Sheboygan to North Point Light.
Advisory remains in effect through Sunday afternoon
The advisory covers marine zone LMZ643, from Sheboygan to Port Washington, and LMZ644, from Port Washington to North Point Light. Forecast conditions include south winds of 10 to 20 knots and waves of 3 to 5 feet.
The National Weather Service says the conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid the affected waters while the advisory is active.
