Arctic Blast Brings Dangerous Cold to Sheboygan County
Sheboygan County is about to get a real taste of winter. An arctic blast is sliding across Wisconsin and locking in some of the coldest air we’ve seen so far this season, with Thursday and Thursday night, December 4, 2025, expected to be the harshest stretch.
Forecast models show actual temperatures in the teens during the day and single digits at night, but it will feel much colder. With northwest and west winds in the 10–15 mph range and gusts over 30 mph, wind chills could drop to around 15 degrees below zero at times. Even if the sky looks calm and sunny, exposed skin will feel it quickly.
The cold won’t just be uncomfortable; it can be dangerous for anyone waiting at the bus stop, working outside, or driving if there are lingering slick spots. Dress in layers, cover your head and hands, bring pets inside, and keep an eye on neighbors who may need help staying warm. Make sure your car has a winter kit—blanket, charger, and a little extra fuel in the tank—just in case.
