Small Craft Advisory Covers Lake Michigan From Two Rivers to Sheboygan Late Sept. 29–30

A Small Craft Advisory is set to take effect late Tuesday night, September 29, through late Wednesday night, September 30, for Lake Michigan nearshore waters from Two Rivers to Sheboygan. The zone covers waters within five nautical miles of shore—not inland Sheboygan County.

The National Weather Service Green Bay nearshore forecast, issued at 10:56 a.m. CDT Tuesday, September 29, calls for waves building to 3–5 feet after midnight Tuesday, then 4–7 feet Wednesday and Wednesday night. Winds are forecast from the southwest at 10–15 knots Wednesday, turning south at 15–25 knots late Wednesday morning and afternoon.

Small-vessel users planning to travel in the affected waters should check the latest marine forecast before departure and reconsider plans during the advisory period. This marine notice does not announce land-area closures.
