A Beach Hazards Statement is scheduled for Sheboygan County’s Lake Michigan beaches from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, September 30. The National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan alert, issued at 12:53 p.m. CDT Tuesday and listed as continuing in a 6:24 p.m. update, expects life-threatening waves of 3 to 5 feet and dangerous currents.

NWS advises people to stay out of the water and away from piers and breakwalls during the hazard period. Strong structural and longshore currents are expected, and rip currents are possible.
