Sheboygan County, WI — September 4, 2026

Drivers using WIS 23 between Taylor Drive and County Y should plan for possible overnight lane closures from 8 p.m. Friday, September 4, through 6 a.m. Saturday, September 5.

WisDOT lists pavement repairs in both directions of the Sheboygan County corridor during the final scheduled overnight period in the August 31–September 4 work schedule. Various lane closures may occur, but the listing does not describe a full road closure.

What drivers should know

The work is weather-dependent and may change. Drivers traveling through the Taylor Drive and County Y area should check 511 Wisconsin immediately before leaving, allow extra travel time and follow posted lane-control signs.

Friday, September 4, is also identified by WisDOT as a peak Labor Day travel period from noon to 8 p.m. People traveling to or from the Sheboygan County Fair in Plymouth may want to check conditions before leaving, especially if their route uses WIS 23 near the work area.
