Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5: Sheboygan County storm chances could affect holiday plans
Sheboygan County residents planning Independence Day weekend should keep an eye on the forecast.
At 6:38 a.m. Friday, July 3, the National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan had Sheboygan County in a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the July 3-5 holiday weekend. The office said thunderstorms are possible through the holiday stretch, and some storms could be strong to severe with heavy rainfall at times.
The Sheboygan forecast was last updated at 7:06 a.m. Friday and shows a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon, another 40% chance Friday night, and a 40% chance on Independence Day, mainly after noon. Saturday night looks wetter, with showers likely and possible thunderstorm activity. Sunday also carries a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
For lakefront plans, travel, and outdoor gatherings, the practical move is to build in a backup indoor option and keep checking for any new warnings or timing changes.
