Town of Greenbush, Weekly: Board of Review May 5, County Road Work Updates
It’s a relatively quiet week in the Town of Greenbush, but a key property tax meeting and ongoing county road construction are top of mind for local residents.
Board of Review Set for May 5
The Town of Greenbush Board of Review will meet Tuesday, May 5 at 6:00 p.m. at the Town Hall on Sugarbush Road.
This annual meeting gives property owners the opportunity to formally appeal their property assessments. If you believe your assessment is inaccurate, this is the required step in the process. Residents planning to object should ensure they have followed any required Open Book procedures and bring supporting documentation.
Town Hall office hours remain 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesdays unless otherwise posted.
County Road Construction Impacts Northwestern Sheboygan County
Sheboygan County’s 2026 construction season is underway, with several projects that may affect Greenbush-area drivers.
County Road J, from State Highway 57 to State Highway 67, is undergoing full reconstruction and has been closed since April 20. The closure is expected to remain in place through late November 2026. Drivers should follow posted detours and allow extra travel time, particularly for farm equipment, school routes, and commuters heading toward Plymouth or Elkhart Lake.
Additional county projects this season include work on County Roads MM, Y, U, and others throughout the county. While not all are directly within Greenbush town limits, they may affect regional traffic patterns and seasonal travel.
April 7 Election Results Finalized
Results from the April 7, 2026 Spring General and Referendum Election have been finalized across Sheboygan County.
County voters participated in the statewide Wisconsin Supreme Court race along with other local contests. According to county-level reporting, turnout was notable for a spring election cycle, and results have now been canvassed and certified.
Residents with questions about local election results, future absentee voting, or voter registration can contact the Town Clerk’s office.
Looking Ahead
With planting season underway and warmer weather returning after this weekend’s cooler conditions, road construction and property assessment deadlines are the primary civic items to watch. Residents are encouraged to monitor town postings and county transportation updates for any additional changes that could affect travel or local services.
