Local government

Several City of Sheboygan committees are scheduled to meet today (Feb. 23), including Licensing, Hearings, and Public Safety; Public Works; and Finance and Personnel. Residents can review posted agendas and packets through the city’s Municode meeting portal.

Also coming up Tuesday (Feb. 24): the City Plan Commission meets at 4:00 p.m., with agenda and packet posted online.

Road work and travel

For drivers who commute south/west of Sheboygan, the WisDOT I-41 project site lists a notable local closure: French Road (between County DDD and Apple Creek Road) is scheduled to close starting Monday, Feb. 23, through late fall 2026. Check the project page for detours and for the latest overnight lane/ramp updates.

Schools

The Sheboygan Area School District’s public calendar lists a Board of Education regular meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 6:00 p.m. at the district office on Stahl Road. Families can use the district site to confirm meeting details and other upcoming school dates.
