Oostburg, Weekly News Brief (Sheboygan County Focus)
Local government + village notices
Winter rules (in effect now): The Village of Oostburg is reminding residents that overnight street parking is restricted from Dec. 1 through Apr. 1, specifically 2–6 am. Residents are also asked to clear sidewalks within 24 hours after snowfall ends. The village adds a common-sense reminder for winter operations: snow should not be pushed into streets.
Licensing + permits: If you have a dog in the village, dog licenses are due March 31. The village notes that fees vary by spay/neuter status and that rabies proof is required. The village also lists recent transient-merchant/solicitation permits and encourages residents to follow the village’s permitted-solicitor guidance when interacting with door-to-door activity.
Road work + infrastructure
Street projects (2026 planning): Planning materials posted by the village include a 2026 street project list. The list includes repaving on S 11th St, Zuider Lane, and South Ave, along with utilities work on N Heritage Dr. If you live on these routes or use them regularly, keep an eye out for future scheduling details as the construction season approaches.
