Busy school weekend: The School District of Howards Grove flagged a high-attendance weekend for the community. The middle school is presenting Willy Wonka Jr., and the high school is hosting regional girls basketball game(s). The district encouraged families to plan ahead for parking and tickets, and to come out and support students.

Key dates for Willy Wonka Jr.: The district calendar lists MS Musical – Willy Wonka Jr. on Saturday, Feb. 28 (evening) and Sunday, March 1 (afternoon). If you’re attending, it’s a good idea to arrive early and expect a larger crowd than usual at school facilities.

Local government

Village Board schedule: The Village of Howards Grove posts that its Village Board meets at 5:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month (unless otherwise posted). Meetings are held at Village Hall, 913 S. Wisconsin Drive. Residents who want to keep up with local decisions can use this standing schedule to anticipate meeting nights and then watch for agendas when they are posted.

Public meetings to watch

Howards Grove School Board: The district lists regular Board of Education meetings on the third Monday of each month, beginning at 6:00 p.m., with a virtual option available. For the 2025–2026 school year, the posted meeting dates include March 16, 2026, and continue monthly through June 15, 2026.

Community notes

If you’re planning to attend a school performance or a tournament-style athletics weekend, plan for heavier traffic around school buildings, allow extra time for arrival, and be prepared for tighter parking.
