Local government: Village Board (Feb. 16)

The Village of Elkhart Lake’s Board of Trustees met Monday, Feb. 16 at the Grashorn Civic Center. The posted agenda previewed a busy committee-report section, including discussion items tied to infrastructure and local quality-of-life rules.

Public works & utilities

Highlights listed for recent Public Works meetings included sewer-ordinance compliance, alley planning and a curb cut at 56 S. Washington, water meter work at Point Elkhart, and an update on a Public Service Commission water rate case. The agenda also referenced Northern Moraine Utility Commission items such as sanitary sewer compliance, 2025 financials, and 2026 projects.

Public safety & lake/park topics

For the Protection of Persons & Property Committee, the agenda preview included a buoy program update, discussion of a sign at the boat launch, and proposed changes related to the Village’s noise ordinance.

Schools: Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Board of Education (Feb. 16)

The Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah School District posted an agenda for its Board of Education meeting on Feb. 16 at 6:00 p.m. at the high school (Room 3410). Key agenda sections included the treasurer’s report (financials, grants, scholarships, activity accounts, and donations), school-level updates (4K–4, 5–8, and 9–12), and a facilities planning review/update.
