Adell Roundup: Town Meeting Actions and County Road Closures
Adell residents saw activity both at Town Hall and on surrounding highways over the past two weeks, with annual town decisions finalized and several major county road projects now underway.
Town of Scott Annual Meeting Recap
The Town of Scott Annual Meeting of Electors was held April 22 at Town Hall on Boltonville Road in Adell. Voters reviewed and approved the 2025 annual financial report and considered several key action items affecting town governance.
Among the items discussed was granting the Town Board authority to borrow short-term debt if needed, as well as designating the town’s official publication. Newly elected supervisors Dennis Janz and Mark Ringwell were sworn in during the meeting.
The next Annual Town Meeting is already scheduled for April 20, 2027, at 7 p.m.
Next Town Board Meeting Coming Up
Looking ahead, the Town of Scott Monthly Board Meeting is typically held on the second Monday of each month at Town Hall, N1306 Boltonville Road. That places the next regular meeting on Monday, May 11, 2026.
Residents who wish to have items added to the agenda must submit requests to the town office by 4 p.m. the Monday prior to the meeting. Contact the Clerk/Treasurer’s office for details on office hours and submissions.
County Road Construction Affecting Area Drivers
Sheboygan County’s 2026 construction season is now in full swing, with several projects that may affect travel for Adell-area residents.
County Road J, between State Highway 57 and State Highway 67, is closed as of April 20 and is expected to remain closed through late November 2026 for full reconstruction. Drivers are advised to follow posted detours.
Other county projects this season include work on County Roads OO, Q, MM, Y, U, KK, PP, and P. Motorists are encouraged to check 511 Wisconsin for real-time updates and plan extra travel time, especially for commutes toward Plymouth, Random Lake, or Sheboygan.
Spring Election Results Finalized
While Adell does not have its own municipal government separate from the Town of Scott, local voters participated in Wisconsin’s regularly scheduled spring election earlier in April. The April 7, 2026, election included statewide and local races, with results now certified across Sheboygan County.
Residents who have questions about voter registration, polling locations, or future elections can contact the Town of Scott clerk for guidance.
What to Watch Next Week
With warmer weather returning after this weekend’s cool start, construction activity is expected to increase across the county. Residents should monitor local notices for any temporary closures or weight limits on rural roads during spring thaw conditions.
Town Board discussions in May may include seasonal road maintenance, budget adjustments, and planning items as the community heads into summer.
