Launch Your Business to New Heights with Sheboygan County’s SCALE Accelerator Program

Share

Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC) has launched a new accelerator program called Sheboygan County Accelerator for Learning Entrepreneurship (SCALE), in partnership with Lakeland University and sponsored by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). The program aims to invest in up to six pre or early-revenue startups per cohort, per year and is free for selected applicants. Each participant will receive a technical assistance grant worth $10,000, with $5,000 available after the first week of the program and the remainder upon completion of the 10-week course schedule.

SCALE is open to startups across all industries and business models and aims to help them reach the point where they are ready to go to an equity-based accelerator or raise funds from angels, crowd investing, or pre-sales. The 10-week program will consist of two weekly curriculum-based meetings, one weekly networking event, community partner meeting, and update meeting with staff or mentors. It will be held at Jake’s, A Lakeland Community, and will run from February 21 to April 29, 2023, with a spring break from March 13-17. The curriculum will be led by Stephanie Hoskins, HKFJ Chair of Business and Entrepreneurship at Lakeland University, and will be taught by subject matter experts with professional experience.

Applications for SCALE are due by January 15, 2023 and interested parties can learn more about the curriculum focus, course schedules, and qualification requirements by visiting the SCEDC website. For more information about the SCEDC’s entrepreneurial services, potential participants can contact Ray York at Yo**@sh****************.com or call (920) 452-2479.
