Elktoberfest Returns to Elkhart Lake with a Full Day of Food, Music, and Tradition
Raise your steins and get ready to celebrate—Elktoberfest is back in downtown Elkhart Lake on Saturday, September 20, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. This annual Oktoberfest-style bash brings Bavarian flavor to Sheboygan County, filling the Village Square with food, drinks, music, and contests for the whole family.
The day begins with the Wine & Beer Run 5K at 9:00 AM, where runners and walkers toast their finish with local craft beer or wine. As the morning continues, families can enjoy the Kinder Platz, a kid-focused activity area featuring games, crafts, and pumpkin painting.
Throughout the afternoon, festival-goers can dive into a lineup of contests that keep the energy high. From traditional stein-hoisting competitions to sausage-eating showdowns, Elktoberfest celebrates German heritage with plenty of laughs and spirited competition. Polka bands set the soundtrack, encouraging dancing in the streets and plenty of Gemütlichkeit—good cheer shared with neighbors and friends.
As the sun sets, the celebration shifts into high gear with live evening entertainment. This year’s headliner, Boo! The Band, takes the stage at Siebkens Resort around 7:00 PM, delivering a lively mix of rock favorites to close out the night in style.
No tickets are required to attend Elktoberfest, and admission is free for all ages. Food and beverages are available for purchase, with brats, pretzels, and of course, beer at the heart of the menu. Festivalgoers are encouraged to wear their lederhosen or dirndls to get in the spirit.
Whether you’re there for the music, the food, the family fun, or simply the chance to raise a glass, Elktoberfest in Elkhart Lake is the perfect way to experience community, culture, and celebration all in one day.
