Sheboygan County Gas & Diesel Watch: Regular Jumps 20 Cents Overnight, Diesel Nears $5
Sheboygan County, WI April 30, 2026. Regular gas moved sharply higher in the Sheboygan metro area in AAA’s latest pump-price snapshot, while diesel also rose and stayed just below the $5 mark.
AAA listed Sheboygan’s average regular unleaded price at $4.221 and diesel at $4.941 as of Thursday, April 30, 2026. Those are metro averages, not a guarantee of what any individual station is charging.
What changed at the pump
The biggest move for local drivers is regular gas. AAA’s Sheboygan metro average for regular unleaded is up 20 cents from Wednesday, up 60.3 cents from a week ago, up 62.9 cents from a month ago, and up $1.252 from a year ago.
That kind of week-over-week move can show up quickly for Sheboygan County households that are making daily commutes, school runs, medical trips, grocery stops, and weekend errands.
Diesel is close to $5
Diesel is rising more slowly day to day, but it remains a key number to watch for work vehicles and local businesses. AAA listed the Sheboygan metro diesel average at $4.941, up 4.7 cents from Wednesday, up 10.6 cents from a week ago, up 11 cents from a month ago, and up $1.723 from a year ago.
That puts local diesel just under $5. Wisconsin’s diesel average is even closer to that line at $4.995, while the U.S. diesel average is $5.496.
How Sheboygan compares
Sheboygan’s regular gas average of $4.221 is slightly above Wisconsin’s $4.167 average, but still below the national regular average of $4.300.
For diesel, Sheboygan’s $4.941 average is below both the Wisconsin diesel average of $4.995 and the national diesel average of $5.496. Even so, diesel near $5 can affect contractors, delivery routes, farm work, restaurants, small businesses, and event vendors that have to build fuel costs into daily operations.
What local drivers should watch
For Sheboygan County commuters, families, visitors, and small businesses, the practical move is simple: compare nearby stations before filling up, consider combining trips when possible, and keep an eye on diesel if your work depends on trucks, equipment, deliveries, or spring farm travel.
