Sheboygan Hope Walk Moves to South High School for September 19 Event
Sheboygan, WI — September 18, 2026
The 21st annual There Is Hope Suicide Awareness and Prevention Walk will take place at South High School in Sheboygan on Saturday, September 19, after organizers moved the event because of the weather forecast.
Mental Health America Lakeshore said the walk will now be held at South High School, 1240 Washington Ave., Sheboygan, instead of its original lakefront location. The event remains scheduled and has not been canceled.
Schedule for the September 19 walk
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 a.m., with programming continuing through noon.
The event brings together participants, families and supporters for mental-health awareness and suicide-prevention education. WBAY independently confirmed the venue change and event timing in a September 18 report.
The National Weather Service forecast for Sheboygan County, updated Friday, September 18, calls for rain showers and a high chance of precipitation Saturday, with possible heavy rainfall. The weather outlook is the reason organizers moved the morning program to the indoor South High School facility.
What participants should know
Anyone attending should use the South High School address rather than the original lakefront meeting location. Organizers recommend checking the Mental Health America Lakeshore event page for any last-minute updates before leaving home.
