Legally Blonde: The Musical Brings High-Energy Fun to Sheboygan This May

Sheboygan Theatre Company is set to dazzle audiences this Mother’s Day weekend and beyond with Legally Blonde: The Musical, a vibrant, heartwarming production packed with comedy, choreography, and girl-power glory. The show opens May 9, 2025, at the Leslie W. Johnson Theatre, located inside Horace Mann Middle School, and runs through May 17.
Directed by Zac Stearn, with musical direction by Eva Stokes and choreography by Tricia Roberts, this sparkling stage adaptation of the popular film follows Elle Woods, a fashion-savvy sorority queen who chases love to Harvard Law School—only to discover her true calling is bigger than any boyfriend. With bold numbers, jaw-dropping dance scenes, and an empowering message about self-worth and perseverance, this show is sure to leave audiences grinning ear to ear.
“Legally Blonde is more than just pink and glitter,” said Executive Director Tricia Roberts. “It celebrates individuality, resilience, and the joy of staying true to yourself. The cast and creative team have poured their hearts into this production, and we can’t wait to share it with the Sheboygan community.”
Zac Stearn, who also directed STC’s recent productions of Mary Poppins and Into the Woods, brings a wealth of theatrical experience and storytelling flair to the stage. “Elle Woods is a bold character who defies expectations,” said Stearn. “She challenges gender norms, breaks stereotypes, and proves that kindness and determination can lead to powerful change. Our show is bold, bright, and bursting with heart.”
An ASL-interpreted performance will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 17. Tickets can be reserved by calling the Sheboygan Community Recreation Department at 920-459-3773 or purchased online at stcshows.org.
