Free Maywood Sustainability Hike and Potluck Set for September 26

Residents can take part in a free environmental community event at Ellwood H. May Environmental Park on Saturday, September 26. The program will combine a guided hike, a shared potluck and informal conversation about environmental protection and sustainability.
Resilient Sheboygan County and Maywood Environmental Park will host the event from 4 to 7 p.m. at Maywood, 3615 Mueller Road in the City of Sheboygan. Admission is free.
Hike and potluck schedule
The event begins at 4 p.m., with a guided hike scheduled for 4:15 p.m. Maywood Park Director Kendra Kelling will lead the hike through the park’s environmental setting.
A potluck will begin at 5:30 p.m. Participants are asked to bring a dish to pass along with their own environmentally appropriate table service, such as reusable plates, cups and utensils.
The gathering is intended to give neighbors a chance to learn, spend time outdoors and talk about practical ways to support environmental protection and sustainability in Sheboygan County.
