Lakeshore College Wins Two NCMPR Medallion Awards
CLEVELAND, WI — October 8, 2026 — Lakeshore College earned two 2026 Medallion Awards from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations, receiving Gold for a miniature locker promoting its Lenny’s Leap dual credit program and Bronze for a video about its Maintenance Mechanic program.
NCMPR’s District 3 results list Lenny’s Leap Locker as the Gold winner in the Novelty category and Lakeshore College Maintenance Mechanic Program as the Bronze winner in Promotional Video–Short Form. The college said the awards were presented October 6 in Madison.
A locker that introduces college credit opportunities
The miniature locker features Lenny the Snow Leopard, Lakeshore’s mascot. According to the college, it was designed for high school counselors and school representatives to use when introducing students to dual credit opportunities.
Lakeshore said the lockers were distributed at a Lenny’s Leap kickoff event and contained college-branded items, sticker sheets and a flash drive with promotional resources for partner schools. Those resources included social media graphics, flyers, website graphics and newsletter content.
Lenny’s Leap helps high school students earn college credit while completing their high school education. Lakeshore announced the initiative in May 2026, with pathways that include transcripted credit courses taught at high schools and opportunities to take courses directly through the college.
Maintenance Mechanic video earns Bronze
The second award recognizes a promotional video focused on Lakeshore’s Maintenance Mechanic program. The college said it has used the video on its website and social media platforms. Readers can learn more and view the video on the Maintenance Mechanic program page.

NCMPR’s Medallion Awards recognize marketing, communications and public relations work at community and technical colleges within its seven districts. The organization held a joint District 3 and District 5 conference in Madison October 5–7.
