Mead Public Library maker programs Tuesday, July 28: Guided Maker Time + 3D Printing for Kids

Sheboygan is forecast sunny Tuesday, with a high near 75°F, and Mead Public Library has two maker options that fit the afternoon.
At the downtown location 710 N. 8th St., the library is hosting two different hands-on sessions—one for teens and adults, and one designed for kids.
Guided Maker Time (Imaginarium) — 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Who: Adults and teens age 11+
Where: Imaginarium at Mead Public Library
When: Tuesday, July 28, 2026, 1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.
Guided Maker Time is designed to help participants learn the Imaginarium makerspace and the equipment badging process. Participants can also work on a project of their own with support from library staff and volunteers.
A practical tip from the library: appointments for equipment badging and assistance may be made in advance and are prioritized over drop-ins.
3D Printing for Kids (Children’s Activity Room) — 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Who: Youth age 8–13
Where: Mead Children’s Activity Room
When: Tuesday, July 28, 2026, 4:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
This program teaches kids how to design a custom 3D-printed item using Tinkercad. The library notes that youth will design the item during the session, and the item is picked up later.
Registration is required—and the library’s current listing notes that capacity has been reached. Additional registrants are directed to a waitlist.
