Local government (Town of Sheboygan)

Plan Commission: March 3 public hearings posted. The Town of Sheboygan posted legal notices for a Tuesday, March 3, 2026 Plan Commission meeting at 5:00 p.m. at the Town Hall Community Center (North Parking Lot entrance, 4020 Technology Parkway). The notices include a public hearing for a conditional use permit tied to a multi-family development proposal described as twelve buildings totaling 360 units on the south side of Playbird Road (parcel 59024341550). A separate notice also lists a rezoning request involving property at 6400 Hawthorn Road to allow for a garage.

Schools (Sheboygan Area School District)

Next Board of Education regular meeting: The Sheboygan Area School District lists its next regular board meeting for Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Administrative Services Building, 3330 Stahl Road, Sheboygan, with agendas posted through the district’s board page.

District communications: The district also posted its February newsletter (dated Feb. 12, 2026) on the SASD homepage for families looking for school updates, dates, and district information.

City of Sheboygan DPW updates: For Town of Sheboygan residents who commute into, shop in, or use services in the City of Sheboygan, the City’s DPW site noted a Residential Recycling Center closure planned for Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at the center at 2026 New Jersey Avenue. The DPW site also posts day-to-day status items (like street conditions and closures) that can be useful for nearby travel planning.

Public safety (countywide)

Sheboygan County fire response in Waldo: WBAY reported a Thursday, February 19, 2026 house fire on Mulberry Drive in the Village of Waldo that drew responses from more than a dozen departments and county resources. The report notes no one was inside the home, with the cause under investigation, and lists assisting agencies including Orange Cross Ambulance and the Sheboygan County Fire Investigation Team—resources that also serve Town of Sheboygan residents when mutual aid is needed.
