Kohler Co. has been a prominent name in the world of design, innovation, wellness, and sustainability for 150 years. In 2023, the company is celebrating this significant milestone by launching a yearlong series of events and promotions. The anniversary theme, “Come All Creators,” reflects Kohler’s passion for creativity and continuous improvement.

The Kohler 150th anniversary celebrations are not just a recognition of the company’s impressive history. They also showcase its forward-thinking philosophies of innovation and sustainability. Kohler has consistently maintained a position as an industry leader, and the anniversary promotions will further solidify that status.

The events and promotions will take place worldwide, including Design Shanghai, Milan Design Week, Design Miami/, the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, and CONEXPO. The community-wide celebration in the village of Kohler will take place later in the year.

One of the most exciting aspects of Kohler’s 150th anniversary celebrations is the limited edition product releases. Collaborating with renowned contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, Kohler has released the commemorative K150 logo. Arsham previously collaborated with Kohler on exclusive 3D-printed sink Rock.01 and “Divided Layers,” a critically-acclaimed installation featured at Milan Design Week in 2022.

Kohler is also introducing 10 new exclusive colors and three Mossy Oak camouflage pattern options for its home generators. This year will also see a revival of some classic colors. Spring Green and Peachblow were declared the winners of the Heritage Colors competition after tallying over 65,000 votes. These colors will be used in the limited release of several Kohler kitchen and bath products, including the Memoirs two-piece toilet, Memoirs 24-inch pedestal sink, Vox rectangular sink, Artifacts free-standing clawfoot tub, and Farmstead kitchen sink.

Kohler’s commitment to sustainability is also on full display during its 150th anniversary celebrations. The company has partnered with British explorer Robert Swan, who reached the Geographic South Pole on January 10 relying solely on Kohler’s renewable energy solutions. Swan’s journey pays homage to Rear Admiral Richard E. Byrd, who relied exclusively on Kohler generators to power his historic trek to Antarctica in 1929.

Kohler’s iconic ad campaign, “Toilet in the Road,” from the 1980s will also make a comeback with a modern facelift. The updated campaign will feature breakthrough imagery and video, and an appearance by Kohler’s Numi smart toilet.

In conclusion, Kohler’s 150th anniversary celebrations are a testament to the company’s impressive history and its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and creativity. Through limited edition product releases, community-wide celebrations, and partnerships with renowned artists and explorers, Kohler is solidifying its position as an industry leader and showing the world what it means to be a true creator.
