Sheboygan Reminder: Turn Clocks Back from 2 AM to 1 AM Sunday, November 1
Before heading to bed after Halloween, give your clocks a quick check. Daylight saving time ends Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 2 a.m. in Sheboygan and across Wisconsin. Clocks turn back one hour to 1 a.m.
Fall back before Sunday morning
The overnight change brings Sheboygan County back to Central Standard Time. The hour from 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. happens twice, giving Sunday an extra hour.
You do not need to stay up until 2 a.m. If you have clocks that require a manual adjustment, set them back one hour before bed Saturday, October 31.
A quick household clock check
- Turn wall clocks, bedside clocks and watches back one hour if they do not update automatically.
- Check the microwave, oven and car clock for a manual time setting.
- Confirm that automatic date and time settings are enabled on phones and other connected devices, and check their time Sunday morning.
- Double-check your alarm before Sunday work, worship, breakfast plans or other appointments.
Remember the change after Halloween
With Halloween falling on Saturday this year, the time change comes overnight after the evening’s activities. Before calling it a night, take a moment to reset the clocks you rely on for the next morning.
The reminder to remember: Sunday, November 1 — 2 a.m. becomes 1 a.m. Set clocks back, not ahead.
