CEDAR GROVE, Wis. — The Village of Cedar Grove plans hydrant flushing throughout the village on weekdays during two October periods. Residents are advised to schedule laundry outside the work hours because water may temporarily discolor and stain clothing.

Flushing dates and hours

The Village of Cedar Grove notice lists flushing Monday through Friday, October 19–23, and Monday through Friday, October 26–30, 2026. Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on those days.

The village says the temporary discoloration poses no health hazard. To reduce the chance of stains, it advises residents to postpone washing clothes during the listed hours.

If clothing appears reddish

Do not dry clothing that appears reddish, the village advises. Rewash it in cold water instead. After flushing is complete, briefly running water will clear the lines, according to the notice.

Questions can be directed to the Village Office at (920) 668-6523.
