Small-Craft Conditions Possible Near Sheboygan Oct. 9–11
Boaters on Lake Michigan nearshore waters from Sheboygan to Port Washington should prepare for potentially rougher conditions beginning Friday afternoon, October 9. The National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan office said Small Craft Advisory conditions may develop into early Sunday, October 11, especially north of Port Washington. This is a forecast, not an issued advisory.
Winds and waves may build Friday, October 9
The NWS nearshore forecast, issued at 5:10 a.m. CDT Thursday, October 8, calls for south winds increasing to 15–20 knots and waves building to 2–4 feet late Friday afternoon in the Sheboygan-to-Port Washington zone. Waves may build to 4–6 feet after midnight Friday night.
