NWS Sets Small-Craft Advisories and Gale Watch for Sheboygan Waters Tuesday, Oct. 6
Boaters and anglers planning to use Lake Michigan near Sheboygan on Tuesday, October 6, should check conditions before departure. National Weather Service offices issued marine alerts early Monday, October 5, for two nearshore zones. One includes a Gale Watch during Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Sheboygan to Port Washington: Tuesday advisory
The National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan issued a Small Craft Advisory at 1:13 a.m. CDT Monday, October 5, for the Sheboygan-to-Port Washington nearshore zone. It is in effect from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. CDT Tuesday, October 6. Southwest winds of 15 to 20 knots, gusts up to 30 knots and waves of 4 to 7 feet are expected.
Two Rivers to Sheboygan: three alert periods
The National Weather Service Green Bay issued alerts at 1:30 a.m. CDT Monday, October 5, for the Two Rivers-to-Sheboygan nearshore waters:
- 7 a.m.–1 p.m. Tuesday, October 6: Small Craft Advisory, with south winds of 15 to 25 knots, gusts up to 30 knots and waves of 3 to 6 feet expected.
- Tuesday afternoon and evening, October 6: Gale Watch, with south winds of 20 to 25 knots, gusts up to 34 knots and waves of 5 to 8 feet possible.
- 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 6–1 a.m. Wednesday, October 7: A second Small Craft Advisory, with southwest winds of 10 to 15 knots, gusts up to 25 knots and waves of 4 to 7 feet expected.
