Sheboygan Park Closures Continue Oct. 15 and Nov. 1
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — City of Sheboygan park users should plan for scheduled seasonal changes beginning October 15, when public restrooms—with Shaw Park the stated exception—open-air shelters and fish-cleaning stations are set to close.
The phased schedule, attributed to the City’s Department of Public Works in reports by WHBL and Seehafer News, also calls for removal of picnic tables, benches and garbage cans to begin October 15. Pickleball, tennis and soccer nets, along with kayak launches, are scheduled to be removed November 1.
Four splash pads are already off for the season
Splash pads at Cleveland, End, Workers and Optimist parks were turned off October 1, according to the reports. Families planning an outing should account for the seasonal shutdown when choosing a place to play.
What park users should know
For visits on or after October 15, plan for the reported restroom, shelter and fish-cleaning station closures. Shaw Park restrooms are the stated exception. The City’s Parks Division oversees the municipal park system; this schedule concerns City of Sheboygan parks, not Sheboygan County parks generally.
WHBL reported that portable restrooms may be placed at high-demand locations when deemed necessary. The November 1 phase is scheduled to include removal of pickleball, tennis and soccer nets and kayak launches. Check for City updates before planning outings around those amenities, as the dates describe scheduled actions.
