October 2 Sheboygan Gas, Diesel Averages Ease; Still Far Above 2025
AAA’s October 2, 2026, Sheboygan metro averages show both regular gas and diesel lower than at the previous Sheboygan Life check on September 28—and lower than a week earlier. Regular averaged $4.2475 per gallon, while diesel averaged $6.4249. Both remain well above their year-ago levels.
What changed at the pump
AAA’s Wisconsin fuel-price page lists regular gas at $4.2475 per gallon for the Sheboygan metro, down 10.30 cents from the September 28 check. Diesel averaged $6.4249, a decrease of 5.80 cents.
Compared with AAA’s week-ago averages, regular is lower by 14.95 cents and diesel by 14.44 cents. The easing may help with fill-ups, but the metro figures are benchmarks—not prices at every Sheboygan-area station. Posted prices vary, so checking nearby pumps can help households and commuters compare options.
Both fuels remain above year-ago levels
AAA’s month-ago Sheboygan metro averages were $3.7007 for regular and $5.3615 for diesel. The October 2 figures are higher by 54.68 cents and $1.0634, respectively. Compared with a year ago, regular is up $1.4860 per gallon and diesel is up $2.9797. Diesel remains above $6.
AAA’s October 2 U.S. averages were $4.3961 for regular and $6.3726 for diesel. Separately, the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s weekly update, released September 29 with data for September 28, listed national averages of $4.465 for regular and $6.382 for diesel. Those weekly national figures are not same-day Sheboygan prices.
Fuel remains a planning cost for Sheboygan County households and commuters, as well as contractors, delivery drivers, farmers and other vehicle-dependent businesses. Restaurants and service businesses that rely on vehicle travel may also want to keep fuel costs in mind; the metro averages alone do not show what any individual driver or business pays.
