Kohler Leaf Collection Starts October 5 With a New Weekly Route Schedule
The Village of Kohler’s 2026 fall leaf collection begins Monday, October 5. Under this year’s schedule, Department of Public Works crews will collect once each week in each village section, then return the following week.
Residents should place leaves neatly at the curb the night before their assigned collection day. Crews begin at 7 a.m., so setting leaves out on collection morning may be too late.

Keep leaf piles accessible
The Village asks residents to place leaves neatly along the curb and leave enough room for collection equipment. Avoid parking on or near leaf piles. If crews cannot access a pile, it will have to wait until the following week’s collection.
Curbside collection is for leaves only. Grass clippings, shrub or perennial trimmings, pumpkins and other yard waste should not be mixed into leaf piles; the Village directs residents to put those items in the green barrel, its yard-waste cart.
The Village says the schedule differs from previous years. For residents, the practical steps are to identify the weekday route for their area, set leaves out the night before, and keep the pile clear of other yard waste and obstructions.
