Sheboygan, WI — September 23, 2026
Diesel reached a new AAA-listed high for the Sheboygan metro on Wednesday, September 23, while regular gasoline remained near $4.41 per gallon.
AAA’s current Sheboygan metro averages list regular gasoline at $4.4084 per gallon and diesel at $6.6110 per gallon. The figures are metro averages and are not guaranteed prices at every station in Sheboygan County.
Diesel reaches AAA-listed Sheboygan record
Diesel rose 2.12 cents per gallon from September 22 and reached the highest recorded Sheboygan diesel average listed on AAA’s Wisconsin metro-price page.
Regular gasoline edged down 0.02 cents from the previous day. Even with that small decline, regular gas is up 35.85 cents from one week earlier, 52.90 cents from one month earlier and $1.5479 from one year earlier.
Diesel is up 50.73 cents from one week ago, $1.2658 from one month ago and $3.1258 from one year ago.
What the change means for local drivers
The latest update is most relevant to people and businesses that use larger amounts of fuel, including commuters, families with regular driving routines, truck operators, farmers, delivery services and other local businesses. Drivers who need to fill up may want to compare stations before purchasing, especially when buying larger quantities of diesel.
The new AAA figures also mark a measurable change from Sheboygan Life’s September 21 fuel check, which listed regular gas at $4.4330 per gallon and diesel at $6.5694.
Midwest comparison
The U.S. Energy Information Administration’s September 22 release listed September 21 Midwest averages of $4.386 per gallon for regular gasoline and $6.680 for on-highway diesel. Those regional figures provide broader context, while AAA’s Sheboygan metro averages are the more specific local benchmark.
AAA averages can change with later updates, and actual pump prices vary by station, fuel grade, taxes and location.
