Sheboygan, WI Gas & Diesel Watch: Regular Gas Climbs Above $4.36 as Diesel Tops $6.22
Sheboygan, WI — September 18, 2026
Regular gas and diesel both moved higher in the latest Sheboygan metro price check. AAA’s Wisconsin metro fuel table dated September 18 lists regular gas at $4.3651 per gallon and diesel at $6.2236 per gallon.
What changed at the pump
Regular gas is up 31.39 cents from the last Sheboygan Life fuel-price check on September 14, when the metro average was $4.0512. Diesel rose 20.77 cents from the previous check, moving up from $6.0159.
The weekly comparison is also higher for both fuels. Regular gas is up 34.15 cents from one week ago, while diesel is up 36.27 cents. AAA’s comparison figures show regular gas rising from $3.7808 one month ago and $2.8870 one year ago. Diesel has climbed from $5.2475 one month ago and $3.4852 one year ago.
Diesel remains the bigger operating-cost concern
Diesel above $6.22 matters beyond the pump. Contractors, farmers, delivery drivers and service businesses may face higher costs for equipment, routes and job-site travel. Restaurants and other small businesses can also feel the increase through deliveries and supplier transportation. Weekend event visitors and families planning longer drives may want to compare stations before filling up.
For commuters and school-run households, the regular-gas increase adds to weekly driving costs, especially for families making multiple trips across Sheboygan County. Local station prices can vary from the metro average, so checking more than one pump may still make a difference.
Sheboygan remains below the national average
Both Sheboygan metro averages remain below AAA’s September 18 national averages: $4.4687 for regular gas and $6.4476 for diesel. The Sheboygan figures are metro averages, not a price quote for every individual station or a separately calculated countywide average.
What local drivers should watch
The next useful signal will be whether regular gas stays above $4.36 and diesel continues moving farther above $6. For households, contractors and businesses that use larger vehicles or equipment, comparing local stations and combining errands may help limit the impact of the increase.
