Sheboygan Posts Preliminary 2027 Budget for Public Review
Sheboygan, WI — September 15, 2026.
The City of Sheboygan has posted its preliminary 2027 budget for public review following a September 14 presentation at City Hall. The document gives residents an early look at department-level revenue and spending projections, but it is not the city’s final budget.
What residents can review
The 247-page document, dated September 14, 2026, is available through the city’s Financial Reports page. It includes department projections and related information on property-tax levy entries, transportation aid, grants, library-related funding and capital accounts.
Those details can help residents understand how city departments are preparing for the next budget year and which funding areas may receive further discussion. The figures should be read as preliminary requests and projections rather than final decisions about taxes, services or spending.
Budget presentation held at City Hall
City Administrator Casey Bradley and Finance Director Kaitlyn Krueger presented the preliminary budget during the September 14 Committee of the Whole meeting at City Hall, 828 Center Avenue in Sheboygan.
The budget process will continue through committee and Common Council consideration. The city’s meeting information lists October 14, 2026, as the tentative date for the next regular Committee of the Whole meeting. Residents should check later official agendas and notices before relying on that date.
What happens next
Because the document is preliminary, the numbers and proposals may change as city officials review department requests, funding sources and capital needs. The posted budget does not establish a final property-tax rate, service level or spending plan.
Sheboygan residents who want to follow the process can review the preliminary budget and monitor the city’s Financial Reports, Committee of the Whole and Common Council pages for future documents, meeting agendas and decisions.
