August 6, 2026: Sheboygan County Voters Have Until 5 p.m. to Request Absentee Ballots
Sheboygan County, WI — August 6, 2026
Sheboygan County voters who want a mailed absentee ballot for Wisconsin’s Tuesday, August 11, 2026, partisan primary must have their request received by their municipal clerk no later than 5 p.m. Thursday, August 6.
The deadline applies to regular and overseas voters. Wisconsin’s MyVote guidance says voters must include an acceptable photo ID with the absentee-ballot request. Sending a request by the deadline is not enough if the municipal clerk receives it after 5 p.m.
Requesting a ballot is separate from returning it
The August 6 deadline is for requesting an absentee ballot. Voters who receive and complete a ballot must return it to the appropriate municipal clerk so it is received by 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, Election Day.
Voters should follow the instructions provided with their ballot and confirm the correct return location with their municipal clerk. Meeting the request deadline does not automatically make a completed ballot timely.
City of Sheboygan voters
City of Sheboygan residents can work with the City Clerk’s Office at 828 Center Avenue. The city provides absentee-ballot request options through online submission, mail, email, fax, or in-person delivery. City voters should verify the posted in-person absentee schedule through Friday, August 7, before visiting.
The City of Sheboygan’s procedures do not automatically apply to voters in Sheboygan Falls, Plymouth, Kohler, Oostburg, or other county municipalities. Residents outside the city should contact their own municipal clerk for local hours, submission methods, and ballot-return instructions.
