Sheboygan County Museum Lantern-Making Nights Begin Monday, August 3

Families can begin preparing for Sheboygan’s 2026 Vollrath Bowl Lantern Parade during the first lantern-making night Monday, August 3, at the Sheboygan County Museum.
The family arts and local-history activity runs from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the museum, 3110 Erie Avenue in Sheboygan. A second making night is scheduled for Monday, August 10, also from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Three chances to make lanterns
The museum’s 2026 schedule gives families three opportunities to make lanterns before the parade. The first two sessions are at the Sheboygan County Museum. The final making session will move to Vollrath Park on Monday, August 17.
On August 17, lantern-making is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Vollrath Park, 2001 N. 3rd St., Sheboygan. The lantern parade is scheduled for 8 to 8:30 p.m.
The August 17 program is connected to the Vollrath Bowl Lantern Parade.
