Friday evening boaters and anglers: The National Weather Service (NWS) Milwaukee/Sullivan has a Small Craft Advisory in effect for the nearshore waters from Sheboygan to Port Washington (LMZ643) until 10:00 PM CDT.

What NWS expects (LMZ643)

  • Hazardous window for small craft: 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM CDT Friday, July 24
  • Winds: south-southeast 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt
  • Waves: 3 to 5 ft

What to do now

NWS says conditions will be hazardous to small craft. For inexperienced mariners—especially those operating smaller vessels—NWS recommends avoiding navigation in hazardous conditions or planning to be off the water before 10:00 PM CDT.
