Sheboygan’s Route 40 Harbor Centre Trolley Returns June 15 for Summer Service
Sheboygan riders will see Shoreline Metro’s Route 40 Harbor Centre Trolley back on the street starting June 15, 2026. The summer run continues through August 29 and gives residents, commuters, and visitors a low-cost way to move around the city.
The city’s schedule lists weekday service from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday service from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Departures leave the Transfer Station at :30 past the hour, with the last weekday departure at 7 p.m. and the last Saturday departure at 3 p.m.
Fares are simple: the Harbor Centre Express Plus Day Pass costs $1 and allows unlimited rides.
Where Route 40 goes
The trolley serves the Downtown, South Pier, Riverfront, and Lakefront districts and connects riders with places such as Bookworm Gardens, JMKAC Art Preserve, 3 Sheeps Brewing, Blue Harbor Resort, Harbor Pointe Mini Golf, Deland Park and Marina, the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, City Green, historic downtown Sheboygan, the Acuity Flag, and historic Michigan Avenue.
For families planning a lakefront stop, neighbors heading downtown, or visitors trying to see more of Sheboygan without moving the car, Route 40 offers an easy summer option. It can also help reduce parking stress around the city’s busiest warm-weather spots.
Anyone planning to ride should check the posted schedule before heading out, since the summer season is limited and the trolley is built around Sheboygan’s busiest weeks.
