Beach Hazards Statement Starts at 4 PM Friday for Sheboygan County Beaches
Sheboygan County, WI — Friday, May 22, 2026.
The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan says a Beach Hazards Statement remains in effect from 4 PM Friday, May 22 through Saturday afternoon for Sheboygan and Ozaukee counties.
Forecasters expect life-threatening 3- to 5-foot waves and dangerous currents. The simple safety message is to stay out of the water and keep away from piers, breakwalls, and other exposed lakeshore areas.
That includes Sheboygan County beach areas such as Amsterdam Beach, Kohler-Andrae State Park beaches, Blue Harbor Beach, Deland Park Beach, and General King Park Beach. Saturday still carries high swim risk along Lake Michigan beaches in southern Wisconsin.
If you are heading to the lakefront Friday afternoon or Saturday, plan for a shoreline visit only and check conditions before changing plans.
