Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra 2025-2026 season
The Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra is ready to ignite the city with an ambitious and inspiring 2025-2026 seasonโone that celebrates unity, tradition, and the power of music to tell our collective stories. With subscriptions now on sale and single tickets available starting June 17th at the Weill Center Ticket Office, thereโs never been a better time to experience the magic of live symphonic music in Sheboygan.
The season kicks off October 11th with โUnity & Hope,โ an evening that weaves the deeply personal with the universal. The highlight is Michael Kropfโs Moses in Nederland, a moving concerto that honors his great-grandfatherโs journey as a Holocaust survivor, with melodies pulled from Moses Schenkeinโs own lost compositions. The program then ascends to Beethovenโs monumental Symphony No. 9โculminating in the famous โOde to Joy,โ a choral masterpiece that still resonates as a call for peace and humanity.
December 13th brings the joy and nostalgia of โSnowmen, Nutcrackers… and Kevin McCallister!?โ. Experience the cinematic wonder of The Snowman, the timeless holiday enchantment of Tchaikovskyโs The Nutcracker, and the mischievous fun of John Williamsโ score for Home Alone. Itโs a concert packed with classic holiday warmth and surprises for the whole family.
The orchestra returns March 7th for โStorytellers,โ a night that dives into the world of narrative music. Humperdinckโs Hansel and Gretel reimagines a fairytale through soaring melodies, while Berliozโs Symphonie fantastique blurs the line between music and drama, introducing the revolutionary idรฉe fixeโa musical theme so memorable, its DNA can be heard in film soundtracks to this day.
The season closes May 16th with โAmerica@250: A Symphonic Canvas,โ painting a portrait of our nationโs musical heritage just in time for Americaโs 250th birthday. Expect iconic works like Bernsteinโs West Side Story, Gershwinโs Rhapsody in Blue, and William Grant Stillโs Afro-American Symphony, a groundbreaking piece that fuses blues, jazz, and classical forms into a powerful expression of Black American artistry.
All performances take place at the historic Weill Center, 826 N 8th Street. Subscriptions offer the best seats and savings, while single tickets are available beginning June 17th. To reserve your seats, call (920) 208-3243 or stop by the box office.
