Volunteers Needed: Help Reroute the Ice Age Trail in Greenbush
Are you a nature lover, outdoor enthusiast, or simply someone looking to give back to the community? Here’s an incredible opportunity to make a tangible impact right here in Sheboygan County! The Ice Age Trail Alliance (IATA) is seeking volunteers to assist in rerouting the Greenbush segment of the Ice Age Trail from September 11th through 15th.
What’s Happening?
The Greenbush segment, located south of Highway 23, is currently a paved, multi-use trail. However, the goal of this project is to create new tread for a more natural, scenic experience for hikers. Volunteers will help transform the trail into a path that winds through a beautiful landscape filled with deep kettles and towering trees. The work will not only improve the trail’s aesthetics but also enhance the hiking experience for visitors who love to explore Wisconsin’s natural beauty.
This rerouting project is a huge endeavor, and the Ice Age Trail Alliance needs your help to bring it to life!
How You Can Help
Whether you’re an experienced hiker or someone who’s never set foot on a trail, no experience is necessary to volunteer. The IATA has assured that there is a role for everyone, regardless of age or abilities.
