Ghost Tour – The Sheboygan Asylum
The Sheboygan Asylum, also known as the Sheboygan County Comprehensive Hospital, is a former mental health facility located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. It has been abandoned for around 20 years, but is rumored to be haunted. The Fox Valley Ghost Hunters, Craig Nearing and Melissa Clevenger, have been leading tours of the asylum for the past three years, with the goal of trying to communicate with the spirits rumored to be haunting the building.
The asylum was built in 1939, and it is said to have a history of strange and unexplained occurrences. Visitors on the tours have reported hearing voices, seeing shadow figures, and feeling as though they are being touched by unseen hands. The Fox Valley Ghost Hunters use a variety of tools during their investigations, including thermal guns, motion detectors, and an audio analyzer, in an attempt to detect any paranormal activity.
While some tours may be more active than others, the Fox Valley Ghost Hunters believe that the spirits present in the asylum are simply looking for someone to communicate with. They view their tours as a way to offer a service to the spirits, who may have been alone and unheard for many years.
The tours of the Sheboygan Asylum have been popular, with tickets for all 60 shows selling out within three weeks last year. If you’re interested in exploring this haunted location, keep an eye out for ticket sales, which are set to begin on January 2nd.
