SHEBOYGAN COUNTY – Here are three updates on the business scene in the Sheboygan area.
Laura Kohler has been appointed as the first chief sustainability and diversity, equity and inclusion officer of Kohler Co. with a 30-year career in the company. She will lead a team of over 40 and focus on sustainability and DEI across the company’s Kitchen & Bath, Energy, and Hospitality groups and products. Kohler will report to David Kohler, the CEO, and continue to serve on the Kohler Leadership Team, Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Diversity Board. The company will invest in several positions related to sustainability and DEI in the future. Kohler previously contributed to the KOHLER WasteLAB, the first Environmental, Sustainability, and Governance report, and several initiatives to promote sustainability and social impact. She has received recognition for her work and serves on various boards.
The building at 701-703 N. Eighth St. was sold for $450,000 to Park Place Holdings, LLC. It will now be occupied by a realty company and other tenants and undergo refurbishment.
Choua Lee is the new owner of Thai Café Restaurant and plans to keep the same dishes and recipes. The restaurant can be contacted at 920-783-5556 and is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday and from noon to 9:30 p.m. on weekends.
